What child wouldn’t enjoy playing in this ultra-modern bedroom? The white bunk beds, that look like something right off a spaceship, offer privacy and the perfect place to hide away and play all kinds of fun games.

The best thing about this particular design is that it can be easily applied to a small bedroom design. You don’t need loads of floor space and the crisp white bunk beds create the illusion of extra room.

Finish off the design with contemporary touches like the chair pictured and you’ve got a children’s bedroom design that really stands out from the crowd. Another great benefit of this design is that your child won’t quickly grow out of it and it can easily be adapted to become the perfect hang out for a teenager.

How often will you see a bedroom design in a magazine or a show home where they have a great big TV sitting in the corner? Not very often is the correct answer.

However, the reality of the situation is that many people like to have a television in the bedroom. Whether that be to unwind by watching a film in the evening, or simply to give themselves the option of watching different channels when there’s an argument over the living room TV.

So the question in is, how best to incorporate a TV into your bedroom design?

Wall Mounted Bedroom TV

Well, the first option is undoubtedly the most expensive. Flat screen TVs come in all kinds of shapes and colours, meaning there will be an LCD or Plasma television out there that will look great in your bedroom. You can wall mount a flat screen television so it literally looks as pretty as a picture and doesn’t intrude on your space. If you can afford this option, great, but still think carefully about where you’re going to mount the TV as hanging wires can really damage the sleek look you’re trying to achieve.

Bedroom TV Storage

Also remember, that unless you’ve got a socket in the bedroom that connects to the external aerial on the top of the house, you’re going to need to find somewhere to position a portable aerial. Unfortunately, these are often large, awkward devices so you might consider finding a way to run a cable from your external aerial to your bedroom if you don’t already have that functionality.

If you don’t have the cash to invest in a slimline TV and have a television already that you’re determined to use in the bedroom, look for a clever storage solution so it can be hidden away when you’re not watching it. You can get all kinds of cupboards and units that will accommodate your TV, but just as easily hide it away when you don’t want it on show.
